Time served

Driving the young men through the prison gates seeing  the looks on their faces. The fear, the anger, their bravado and anxiety all combined as he takes them to repay their debt to society. Then, often years later picking the same prisoners up on their release. The same faces always older sometimes wiser but more often just as angry and afraid and clearly ready to make all the same mistakes again.

It got him down at least it used to, ever since the new laws came in requiring gender changing nano-surgery and mandatory slut conditioning for violent offenders he has found a renewed enthusiasm for his work. He no longer feels like he is simply moving the same problem from one place to another and back again instead he feels he is part of making a real difference. And if the new girls need a little help blowing off steam and testing out their new bodies on the way back to the city then Hank and his colleges are only too happy to help.
