Karmic Correction

Karmic Correction

A long over due request for the ever inspirational @demisword

Mitch lounges by his pool sipping his drink pulling a face as he finds it has gotten warm in the afternoon heat.
He snaps his fingers to get the attention of the gardener working nearby.
“Hey Pablo!” Hey yells when the man looks up “Get me some ice, pronto.”
“My name is Miguel” the man replies as calmly as he can “and your father pays me to take care of his garden not to fetch you drinks.”
The arrogant young man sneers at him with the kind of self satisfied expression you can only get from living your whole life without having to hear the word no.
“Yeah whatever Pablo all you illegals look the same to me” Mitch says with a dismissive wave “Just get me my damn ice before I call immigration on you.”
Miguel grind his teeth and resists the urge to punch Mitch in his smug face but he knows the boy can make a lot of trouble for him if he want’s.
He holds his tongue and stalks off to the house where he finds Mai, the families cook hard at work in the kitchen.
“Hey, Miguel.” she greets him cheerily sounding like the stereotypical valley girl despite her Asian ancestry “Hot one today huh?”
“Oh, no this isn’t for me it’s for him…” he waves the jug of ice in the general direction of the pool.
“Uhg, that little brat.” she says “He can’t make you wait on him like that.”
“Seems like he can” he grumbles “The little shit threatened to call immigration on me. Not that I’m worried about those guys it’s just all the paperwork would be a huge pain in the ass.”
“Yeah he tried pulling that shit with me the other day. I was like, hello, my family has lived in this country longer than yours has you dumbass. And then he got all huffy and spent the next week giving me the evil eye and complaining about my cooking.”
Miguel shakes his head thinking about all the times Mitch has bullied abused and threatened his father’s staff for his own petty amusement.
Most recently the maid, Giselle, she had left suddenly a few weeks ago after a furious argument with Mr Richards. It had been very unexpected especially since it was an open secret among the staff that Giselle and Mr Richards were pretty heavily involved and she had confided in him the she had plans to be the next Mrs Richards. No one knew exactly why she left like that but Miguel had noticed the smug self satisfied expression Mitch had worn after. Miguel was sure the little brat had been responsible somehow.
“I swear if I didn’t need this job I would kick his lazy ass.” he grumbles
“Ha, as satisfying as that would be I may have a less bruising a solution” Mai produces a glass vial with a conspiratorial wink “check it out, one genuine magic potion courtesy of my aunt.”
“Magic potion?” Miguel asks puzzled”since when did you believe in that crystal healing bull?”
“Oh well I don't” she says with a shrug “but my aunt insisted i take it. Something about balancing his karma. I gotta admit I’m kind of curious to see if it will actually do anything.”
Miguel grins and without hesitation pours the vial into the jug of ice. He returns to the pool side and watches Mitch drink waiting to see what, if anything, will happen.
The effect is almost instantaneous, Miguel can only gape at the spoiled young man as his short sandy hair tumbles past his shoulders turning pitch black as it grows. Mitch groan his voice pitching higher as his body changes, his waist shrinking as his hips and chest expand. In just a few moments his masculinity has melted away and confused looking Hispanic woman is sat in his place. His skin darkens and his eye colour shifts from blue to brown.
“What? Where am I?” the new girl stammers in flawless Spanish “What am I doing out here?”
“I’m sorry but i don’t think we’ve met” he says his own Spanish a little rusty from lack of use “My name is Miguel, and you are?”
The girl smile is so charming he almost forgets who she really is for a second when she speaks
“Oh I’m Maria” she says “I am the new maid. Mr Richards hired me to replace Giselle . It is very nice to meet you but I really can stop to chat I have so much to do.”
The next few days are just bizarre for Miguel as he watches the new girl step into her new life without missing a beat. She is friendly hard working a real giving type, in short the complete opposite of Mitch. As for Mitch no body seemed to notice his absence except Miguel, any questions about him are met with blank looks. Even Mia didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. It was like Mitch had been simply wiped from existence.  Not that he’ll miss the entitled brat but he can’t help trying to work out the puzzle.
Miguel has a half a theory as to what exactly happened and when he walks in on his boss fucking the new maid bareback it all clicks into place.

Somehow Mitch had interfered with destiny when he got between his father and Giselle and now through the potion Miguel had dosed him with destiny was putting things back on track. It sounded crazy even to him but nothing else he could think of explained it. He crept out again without being noticed smirking to himself. Something tells him it won’t long before there is a new Mrs Richards in the house and if they keep fucking like that it won’t be long before there is a new Mitch or Michelle as well.

  1. I really liked the story.

I think the potion managed to repair all the damage the little brat did.

I'm sure she'll be a good maid at the service of her own father.

and if I agree that eventually I will become his wife and possible mother of his children.
